New Patients

We are currently accepting new private patients either pay-as-you-go Fee Per Item or under our monthly Preventative Dental Care Plan. We accept new NHS patients only when the appointment book allows. Patients have the right to express a preference for either NHS or private treatment, or for treatment by a particular dentist.

The Practice offers a full range of mandatory N.H.S. services or private treatment, either Fee Per Item (FPI), or under our monthly Preventative Dental Care Plan.

Treatment and Services

As well as routine dental care, we are able to offer a comprehensive range of cosmetic and more advanced therapeutic treatments. Please enquire about: Tooth whitening Non-metallic crowns and fillings Cosmetic veneers to improve your smile Appliances to eliminate snoring. Our modern health-promoting approach with continuing care means: Fewer fillings Less dental decay Less likelihood of toothache More attractive teeth Helping to keep your own teeth for life.

Your dentist will explain all options fully at your first appointment.

Payments and Charges

After your teeth have been examined and the treatment plan agreed, whether NHS or private, you will be given an estimate of the cost of the work. Our usual payment procedure is "pay as you go", or for larger treatment costs in installments by agreement. Patients can choose to pay by cash, cheque or credit/debit card. You may qualify for free treatment under the N.H.S., please ask for details. Sometimes your original treatment plan may have to be changed due to unforeseen circumstances and this may affect the cost, but you will be told if this happens. If you are worried about the cost of your dental treatment or have any queries relating to the charges please speak to one of our staff.

Safety

We take all necessary precautions to safeguard you and our staff. We have recently installed a dedicated Decontamination & Sterilisation Room, considered best practice by the Department of Health, to process all contaminated dental waste and clinical intruments away from the dental surgeries.

We follow recommended HTM-01-05 guidelines with regard to sterilisation of instruments and the use of disposable items, e.g. gloves and needles.

We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Complaints

The practice has a recognised complaints procedure, if you have a complaint or suggestion about any aspect of the care you have received at the Practice we welcome your input.

Please ask to speak to Mr Adrian Byrne in the first instance.
